X-IM Help Instant Message (IM) Security Info For each contact you send an IM to or receive an IM from, there are two session keys generated, one for each direction of communication. Each message is accompanied by its appropriate session key, encrypted and signed specifically for its recipient, verifying its origin, and ensuring that only its intended recipient can read it. Like all X-IM transmissions, each IM is protected by secure hash against modification between the time it's encrypted by the sender and the time it's decrypted by the recipient. |
