Enter your message to send to the chat group under "Secure Outgoing Text" and click "Send". All the members chat group are listed on the right-hand pane of the window. Members in gray have not yet connected. Members in green are connected. Crossed-out members have disconnected. Once a member of a chat group disconnects, he cannot reconnect.

After you type text in the box, you can select a portion of it and click the "B" button (or press Ctrl-B on the keyboard) to make the selection bold, or click the "I" button (or press Ctrl-I) to italicize it.

If the "Send" button is disabled, it is because there is no connection with the X-IM Server (usually because there is no Internet connection) so you can't send or receive. The "Send" button will be enabled as soon as the connection is restored.

To maximize efficient use of this window, use [Tab] to move between the input box and the "Send" button. (i.e., type your message and then press [Tab] [Enter] to send, and [Tab] again to return to the input box.)

As part of the security protocol, members cannot be added to an existing chat session. Instead, create a new chat session with all the desired members.
