X-IM Help Main Menu To access the X-IM Main Menu, single-click on the X-IM icon in the system tray. (This is located near your system clock.) The X-IM Main Menu has the following selections. *Contacts -- This opens the Contacts window where you can send messages, send chat invitations, send memos/files (Pro Version), add and delete contacts, and see the online status of all your contacts. You can also open the Contacts window by double-clicking on the X-IM icon in the system tray. *Memo Inbox/Outbox -- This opens the Memos window where you can view all the memos you have received and, for the Pro Version, sent or saved. *Preferences -- This opens the Preference window and lets you customize certain features of X-IM, such as whether or not X-IM starts when Windows starts, and how you want to be alerted when a message comes in. *Connection Status -- This shows you if you are currently connected to the Internet, and if X-IM is currently connected to the X-IM Server. It also shows you the background progress of memos being received and, for the Pro Version, sent. *Account Status -- This shows you your current account status, and gives you a link to the subscription site. *About X-IM -- This displays the X-IM logo, the version of X-IM installed on your computer, and the email address that is registered with this installation of X-IM. *Help -- This takes you to the X-IM Help website. *Shut Down -- This closes the X-IM program and removes it from memory. You will not receive any messages until you start the program again. To restart X-IM click on "Start" to open the Start Menu, select "Programs", then select the "X-IM" group, then select "X-IM". *(X-IM Logo or **Not Connected** or **Connecting...**) If the software is currently connected to the X-IM Server, you will see the X-IM Logo. If you are not connected to the Internet you will see the "**Not Connected**" or the "**Connecting…**"message. |
