Reporting Problems

X-IM works problem-free on the vast majority of systems where it is installed; but we want to make it work problem-free wherever it is installed.

If your installation of X-IM does not appear to be working correctly, please let us know about it. Please describe the problem you are having in as much detail as possible, including your Operating System (Windows 98, Windows XP, etc.), your Internet Service Provider (AOL, Comcast, etc.), and how you are connected to the Internet (Dialup Modem, Cable Modem, T1 over LAN, etc.).

Also, please attach a copy of the file "ximerr.log" in your X-IM program folder. By default your X-IM program folder is C:\Program Files\X-IM\. (Depending on your Windows settings, this may show up simply as "ximerr".) The "ximerr.log" file contains debug information about unexpected problems encountered by the program. It does not contain any sensitive information which could compromise any of X-IM's security features.
